Septic, Soil Tests, Wells

To obtain a permit to build or alter a septic system, drill a well, or conduct a soil perc test within Bernards Township, Bernardsville Borough, or Peapack and Gladstone Borough you must:

Three (3) sets of septic plans must be submitted with the application and fee in order to conduct a review of plans.

To obtain a permit to build or alter a septic system, drill a well, or conduct a soil perc test within Chester Borough, Long Hill Township, Mendham Borough, and Mendham Township contact your local Board of Health to obtain a permit application and fee chart for the corresponding town.

For inspections of all new or altered septic systems or wells in ALL seven contractual municipalities, including Bernards Township, Bernardsville Borough, Chester Borough, Long Hill Township, Mendham Borough, Mendham Township, and Peapack and Gladstone Borough:
