Stray or Loose Pets & Adopting a Pet
Stray or Loose Pets:
Bernards Township contracts with a local kennel to provide safe housing of stray dogs and cats. If you have found a loose pet or yours
has been lost phone the Bernards Township Animal Control office at 908-204-3066 during business hours and the non-emergency police dispatch
at 908-766-1122 after business hours and on weekends.
These pets are housed at:
75 Stirling Road
Warren, New Jersey 07059
All of our adoptable pets are also located at Roxdane Kennel in Warren Township. These animals include some stray animals which
have been picked up by our Animal Control Officer. They legally must remain for seven days at the kennel. After the seventh day
if nobody has called to claim the animal, they are available for the general public to adopt. Roxdane Kennels tries its best to
find good homes for the animals. If you are looking for a pet please give them a call and see what they have available. Also, if
you are not able to adopt an animal but would still like to help them donations are always appreciated. If you would like to see
our available pets in person call the kennel at 908-755-0227 for office hours.
