Municipal Alliance

Mission

The mission of the Bernards Township Municipal Alliance is to provide consultation, programs, training, and resources to members of the Bernards Township community with the goal of preventing and reducing the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

History

The Bernards Township Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse was founded in 1991, and is a township committee-appointed volunteer-based coalition of concerned leaders who support tobacco, alcohol, and drug prevention efforts in the community.

Goals

  • To educate about the damaging and addictive effects of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs.
  • To support events and programs, which provide healthy alternatives to substance abuse.
  • To create a community-wide presence in the identification of problems and in designing solutions.

Youth Services Commission

The mission of the Bernards Township Youth Services Commission is to encourage, coordinate and integrate existing services for youth at-risk; develop and propose new and innovative programs to meet the identified needs; and inform the public of the nature and extent of juvenile problems and the availability of services to address those problems.

If you have questions that have not been answered on this page, or you would like some more information, you can send email directly to the Youth Services Coordinator.
